Thelma's Story...
Thelma is a 12 lb female mini black Spitz. She and her sister, Louise, hope to be adopted together, as they are very attached to each other. They are very sweet, but a little shy. They love to run and play and have discovered the fun of toys too! They are OK is the car. They are still learning about leashes and taking walks. If you have a big securely fenced yard, have the time and patience to work with a pair of adorable little furgirls, please drop us an email! Over 21 yr old applicants only.

Spay scheduled this week!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Thelma, a Elmhurst Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Elmhurst, or seeking a Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Elmhurst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmhurst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmhurst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Spitz (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmhurst paves the way for another one to be saved.
