Sleepyzilla's Story...
My name may be Sleepy but I'm anything but... I'm still a puppy, 1 year and 20 months (Aug 6 2010) and will need lots of patience and understanding. I have puppy tendencies and more energy than the older Greyhounds but, if I may be honest, I'm the most fun Greyhound of this bunch. I love people and have a helicopter tail when you enter the room. My eyes light up every time I see a familiar human. I enjoy walking, riding in the car, and learning about this thing called "Retirement." I may require a little more work in the beginning but it will be worth it - I will be the bestest Greyhound you have ever had! Call Denise and take me home today! We will have a blast.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sleepyzilla, a Gerrardstown Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Greyhound for sale in Gerrardstown, or seeking a Greyhound dog from a breeder in Gerrardstown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gerrardstown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gerrardstown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Greyhound breeders who help with Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gerrardstown paves the way for another one to be saved.
