Jeffy's Story...
Jeffy is a very lovable Nanday Conure, who was found outside in May of 2012, so his age and sex are unknown. He loves to sit on people's shoulders, although he can be a bit territorial there. He’s also content sitting on a perch near you or on your hand, as long as you talk to him.

Men are not his favorite, but given time he will grow to like them if introduced slowly. Jeffy works well with children approximately 6 years or older, and when he bites it is usually not very hard. When settled into a good household, he will make a great companion for any family.

Jeffy's approximate hatch date is unknown, and his adoption donation is $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jeffy, a St. Louis Conure was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Conure for sale in St. Louis, or seeking a Conure from a breeder in St. Louis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in St. Louis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a St. Louis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Conure breeders who help with Conure rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in St. Louis paves the way for another one to be saved.
