My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This lovely Dobergirl Deliah is in need of a new home. She is located in Louisiana and is requesting some help from rescue to make her case known. Dobergirl is heartworm free, had all her shots, she has NOT been spayed yet. She is a super sweet girl loves everyone even small children. Is house trained uses a doggie door, very well mannered in the house. Sit and shakes on command. She is crate trained, she loves her crate and will sleep in it if the door is open. She does not jump fences or gates, has a great recall. Is very safe off lead once she get to know who her person is. She is allowed on the furniture here, so that might be an issue. She loves to go for car rides. When she came here, it was because she was left alone for a weekend by her previous owners. She was tied with a cable outside, she got the cable wrapped around her foot. They were gone for three days, by the time they got home the foot was cold and stinky. Beverly specalizes in leg injuries in horses, so she though she would be able to save the leg. After several months of hydro therapy, lots of wound care the foot is fine now. There is some scaring but she is not lame on the foot at all. Even thru all the painful treatments she endured with her foot she was very good natured never gave a minutes problem. She needs to be rehomed now and we need to move forward with her placement now because the rescue here has closed. That is why we were asked this rescue for help.
