My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spirit Bear is already a well traveled young lady. Brought to the gate of her foster home at the young age of five weeks, in a box and under a blanket by someone who's dog had a litter of pups, this charming young miss stole the hearts of everyone she met. Since foster mom was going on vacation to visit her daughter, Spirit Bear went with. She rode like a dream, didn't cause a bit of trouble and showed her laid back nature the entire time. Dubbed Spirit Bear, this baby girl will truly be your teddy bear. She loves to snuggle up with you, but doesn't mind a few puppy antics along the way. Hurry up and fill out your application today, you do NOT want this darling to get away.

The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.

After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not meet he/she will be adopted to that home.

Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
