Dawn's Story...
Hello, My name is Dawn. At best guess I was born on 2-16-2010. I am a Domestic Short Hair, Black Female Cat with a little spot of White. I currently have a little hair loss in spots but otherwise I have a sleek healthy coat. My story is a little sad at the start, but I was given the name Dawn when I entered the shelter by a young man who hoped this would be a Dawn of a new, good life for me. I was abandoned when the only crime I committed seemed to be I got pregnant too often. I have been living in a foster home where I was spayed , got my shots updated and had a negative feline leukemia test. Even though I had fresh stitches from being spayed I adopted a litter of motherless babies in my foster home and raised them like they where my own. I am a very motherly cat who enjoys the company of younger cats. I am affectionate to people. There was a small dog in my foster home who I liked ok, unless she looked at my adopted babies, then I would have to put her in her place. So I am not afraid to stick up for myself. I am now ready to find a home of my own, where that Dawn of my new life as a loved pet can begin. I promise to give you a lifetime of love in return

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dawn, a Milwaukee Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Milwaukee, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Milwaukee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Milwaukee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Milwaukee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Milwaukee paves the way for another one to be saved.
