I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
Ebony is a gorgeous black cat with the silkiest soft fur ever. She has gorgeous golden eyes and the cutest little round head. She was taken from a junkyard colony when she was only a few months old. She is extremely shy and will take a while to warm up to you. She is not a lap cat, but prefers to be petted and have her belly rubbed. Her gorgeous fur and eyes give her the 'Bombay' look. If you are interested in adopting one of our wonderful cats or kittens, you can apply on our website: http://www.commcat.org . Please allow several days for us to process your application. We are a small, all-volunteer group and we are doing our best to work quickly! After the application is processed we will make arrangements for you to meet the cats that interest you. All of our cats and kittens are raised in our homes and live with us until they are adopted. They live with us as part of our families so we know them very well and we can help you find your perfect cat! Cats are rarely caged (only if its medically necessary) so you can visit with them and see how they act in a home. You can also visit us at Petco in Janesville, where we show cats every other Saturday. Please email or call ahead to make sure we will be there to meet you!
Our adoption fees are $50 for adult cats, $85 for kittens under one year, and double the love with two adult cats for $85. All cats are spayed or neutered, dewormed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, tested for FIV and FeLV (feline leukemia), and microchipped.

You'll receive a copy, too, at to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter! Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures, on the pet's details page on Adopt-a-Pet.com.
