Scout's Story...
Hi! My name is Scout and I'm a 1 yr old Aussie/blue merle Border Collie mix who is an energetic boy who loves to play with other dogs and with my toys. You will love playing catch with me and watching me run around in circles. I like children - but not too young because I am afraid I will jump and knock them over. Not on purpose but just because I am just full of energy. I am housebroken and sleep in a crate at night. I also love to use the doggy door - it is fun, in and out, in and out all day long. I know basic commands but my foster mom says I am smart and can pick up easily on other commands. I am also quite handsome and quite unusual in that I have a spotted tail as most Aussies don't have one.

If you would like to see me and adopt me call elise at 816-898-5646 or email her at cbush86975@aol.com. Please adopt me so I can go to my forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Scout, a Overland Park Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Border Collie breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
