My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET JAX!

Jax is a 4 years old...but still acts like a puppy if given the chance. He is as sweet as they come and extremely loyal and loving to his owners. Because of Jax's history, he needs a special home that is committed to his ongoing training. Jax was mistreated by one of his former owners and is apprehensive around men at first. He does warm up and learns to trust quickly. Although, his trust and love for his owners can be a bit more intense with Jax. He has a tendency to guard or be very protective of his home, yard, & car. Jax just needs to learn that his family will protect him.

Jax's preferable home will be one with out young kids (15 and older). Jax gets along with little dogs and female dogs of his own size. It will be important for his new owners to enroll Jax in training ASAP. Training will not only help with his issues, but will help to build a bond and trust between him and his new owners.

Jax is am amazing dog that just needs help overcoming what has previously been done to him. He loves so big and so hard he doesn't want to lose that. Jax already knows how to walk well on a leash, sit, down, stay, and shake. If you have room in your home and heart for Jax and are committed to helping him overcome his fears, please read the following.
