Stewart's Story...
Hello, I’m Stewart…but everyone just calls me Stewie. You know, like the character from your favorite cartoon “Family Guy”… Yes, yes, I know I keep conspiring evil plots to take over the world… But my plans never work out… See, it sure is hard to take over the world when you’re a fragile lil pup of just 15 pounds! I wish I could be bold and brave but instead I’m shy and sensitive…but I know that with your help, continued training and confidence building I can blossom into a proud pooch with great self-esteem. I get along well with other dogs, but I’m not interested in sharing my new home with children. I really haven’t been around children much so when I meet them they Scare Me!… I do however get along with the kitty cat! I’m doing excellent with my housebreaking, am already crate trained and I enjoy going for car rides and playing fetch. Doesn’t that all sound great? So yes, I promise to quit trying to take over the world, from here on out I promise just to take over your heart… 9 months old-20lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stewart, a Portland Jack Russell Terrier/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
