Ozzie's Story...
Ozzie was adopted from us a few years ago and has been living happily with his owner. Unfortunately, the lady fell and broke her hip and had to move into a convalescent home, so Ozzie was returned to us. He is friendly and affectionate and likes to play with his fuzzy mice. He has a good purr motor too. The funny thing is that when we adopted him out, he had all black fur, but as he matured, he developed some white spots of "frosting" on his side, back and tail (as you can see in one of the photos). He is one handsome cat and would make anyone a great companion. He does fine with other cats, but has not had much experience with dogs.
He is so friendly (as you can see in his video) he would probably make a good family cat!
For more information or to set up- a time to meet this kitty, contact his foster mom Georgann at 916-641-6913.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ozzie, a Sacramento Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
