Jinx's Story...
Jinx

Est. DOB: March 18, 2011
Description: DSH Black/Bombay Mix
Gender: Female
Adoption Fee: $50.00 – “Single in the City”

Jinx is a sleek black beauty with big striking green eyes. Jinx came to us with four solid black kittens. She distinguished herself as a wonderful momma and has even shown motherly concern for some of our other adoption program kittens. Jinx is a low maintenance cat who knows her name and will come when called (well, if she wants – after all, she is a cat!) She purrs when being petted but does not seek out much attention on her own.

Jinx is one of the “Single in the City” cats – she does ok with some other cats sometimes but would prefer to be an only cat. And she does not want to have to share her domain with a dog!

Jinx was rescued from a rural high-kill shelter. She is the mama to the Avengers kittens (Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor and Captain America).

Fully vetted: tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted); treated for intestinal parasites, fleas, and ear mites; FVRCP+FeLV vaccinated (initial vaccination and booster); and rabies vaccinated; spayed/neutered; microchipped with Home Again microchips with rescue paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jinx, a Apex Bombay cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bombay for sale in Apex, or seeking a Bombay cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bombay breeders who help with Bombay rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
