Timmy's Story...
Hi- I’m Timmy! I am approx. 11 months old as of February 2013. I am very outgoing and very sweet and friendly. I love to be petted, held, to snuggle and to play too! I do well with everyone- cats, dogs and all people who are kind to me. I am shy at first- but I warm up quickly once I know I am safe and sound! I am neutered, vaccinated, tested for FeLv, treated with a monthly preventative for ear mites, fleas and worms and I am housetrained/litterbox trained. I love to be loved- did I mention I am totally sweet and friendly? To tell you a bit about my past, my 2 brothers and I (Joey & Reggie) were placed in a tight little box on a 100 degree+ day and tossed into someone’s yard! We were terrified….and very, very hot. Luckily we managed to find our way to safety with the great people at A44….and we are forever thankful!!! Now we are each happy, healthy and ready to find loving forever homes to call our very own!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timmy, a Xenia American Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Shorthair for sale in Xenia, or seeking a American Shorthair cat from a breeder in Xenia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Xenia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Xenia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Shorthair breeders who help with American Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Xenia paves the way for another one to be saved.
