His once tucked tail now wags enthusiastically when he sees a member of his fan club. He's started playing with other dogs in playgroup and is improving in his leash manners every day. Despite his size, he loves to climb in laps and snuggle. Adam even gets a case of the 'zoomies' every now and then, at the end of which he will run to you for snuggles. He gravitates toward soft beds and is perfectly content to snooze next to you while watching TV.
Adam goes on regular sleepovers with one of our volunteers who reports that he seems housetrained and will go to the back door when he needs to go outside. Adam gets along well with other dogs his size and would love to have a canine friend in his forever home. He loves to play in water and would make a great hiking buddy. Lifetime behavior training assistance is included with adoption.
Adam has tested positive for heartworms, but don't let that scare you. It's a treatable condition, and the cost is covered by APA! donors! You can read about heartworm treatment here:http://www.austinpetsalive.org/heartworms/
While he can still be a little slow to get to know you, once he trusts you, you will be greeted with more love than you can possibly imagine. Can you give Adam the home he deserves? You will get the love you give him returned tenfold.
