My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sunny was rated NO CONCERN by the vets, the highest compliment to a dog. Sunny is very sweet and friendly, likes people including strangers, and gets along just fine with other dogs, and cats. This beautiful dog greets people with kisses, and dogs with tail wagging. Of course, she is only 1 year old, little more than a pup, and she believes that everybody is her best friend. But the grim reality is that Sunny needs a best friend desperately, somebody who loves her enough to give her a secure new home and life. If you could use a new best friend, then would you like to meet this sweetheart? If you adopt her, Sunny would go on loving everybody, but you would be the special somebody who saved her.

Comments by a photographer who met Sunny when she was at the shelter we rescued her from:

"Today, I took her from a holding ward to an outside pen to use her as my 'test dog.' She is so friendly that I could bring a dog that I was photographing to test its response to Sunny's hospitality. My student assistant and I brought 16 dogs to Sunny and not once did she fail to greet them in the warmest fashion. (Several of them ignored her, and one male kept trying to pee on her, but it says much about her attitude that she didn't take it personally.)

Besides receiving dogs for about four hours, Sunny also hosted a gaggle of giggly girls. Coincidently, a Canada goose was two cages away but wasn't a member of the gaggle. Several of the girls fell in love with Sunny and had to be pulled away. They were taking photos of each other next to Sunny.
