Lilo's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Lilo's Story...
Lilo is a shelter rescue, about 18 months to 2 years old and is considered a "petite" Saint, weighing in at just 86 pounds. The first thing you will notice when you meet Lilo is that she is overflowing with love and affection. You see, we don't think that Lilo has ever had a true home and is just eager to share her love. The second thing you'll notice is her alertness and vigilance. These traits are pronounced because without a pack leader, Lilo has had to carry the weight of the world on her petite shoulders. If you're not sure of your ability as a pack leader, but are willing to attend obedience classes with her, you can be assured of affection and companionship. She'd excel as the only family dog, or would need to be properly introduced and acclimated to other dogs and seems to get along best with male dogs. She is smart, easy to train, and walks on leash like a dream.

To those not sure of venturing into "giant" breed territory, this petite Saint is approachable and manageable, not at all intimidating.

Lilo means "generous one" in Hawaiian, and when you meet her, you will be touched by the obvious love and affection she has to give.

If interested in adopting Lilo, please fill out an adoption application on our web site at and submit it and you will be contacted within 24 hours.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lilo, a Bellflower St. Bernard dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a St. Bernard for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a St. Bernard dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even St. Bernard breeders who help with St. Bernard rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
