Sweet Pea's Story...
Sweet Pea is a Timnah African Grey. He is about 17 years old and can be a little nippy.
Sweet Pea whistles and will create variations on a musical theme, but he rarely talks, although he can.

About Our Rescue Group...
I started Dee's Haven Parrot Rescue after getting our first Cockatoo in. I researched information on care and feeding and discovered how many parrots were out there that needed new homes and how many were relinquished.
I decided that we had to help these parrots and their people the best we could.

Our Adoption Process...
We have an adoption application that must be filled out. We check references and vet references. Then the potential adopter must go through a phone interview and then come to meet the bird they are interested in. We do charge adoption fees but try to keep them fairly low.
We do not adopt to anyone that breeds.
