Happy Hunter's Story...
Hi everyone--my name is Patroit Pup---my foster mom and dad call me Pate. I lived in a shelter for awhile and was almost put down--due to no space--but a nice shelter volunteer came to my rescue and called SCLRR. My foster mom and another nice lady volunteer for SCLRR came to the shelter and fell in love with me---which doesn't surprise me--I am a cute guy! I got brushed and had a bubble bath and really am super cute now!!

I am close to a year old and weigh about 50 pounds, love other dogs (I live with 4 other labs), get along with cats--I just need to be reminded not to chase them if they run, love kids and love to follow my foster parents around. I really like going on walks and have met many new friends on my walks. Dogs sometimes bark at me on my walks --but I just ignore them and keep on walking.

I really like being in the house--I'm pretty sure I was outside most of the time before I went to the shelter. Oh yea--I am really a good boy in the house too. I love toys and play with them alot.

I am a puppy and have lots of energy. I love my people and love to give kisses, and when I wag my tail my entire body wags!! Because I have alot of energy I would do best with older children --say over 6 years old.

If you think I am the boy for you, contact your family rep.

P.S. Forgot to tell everyone I sleep quietly in my crate at night. And OH --don't you like my pictures?? My foster mom is still amazed I kept that (silly) head thing on my head and didn't take it off. All that posing wore me out and as you can see I had to take a nap!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Happy Hunter, a Torrance Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Torrance, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
