Kaylee's Story...
Kaylee was rescued with her litter of kittens when they were due to be euthanized. Her approximate birthday is in 2010. Kaylee is going to make some family very lucky! She is over the top sweet, and loves to be loved. She is laid back and friendly, and welcomes strangers. She likes being petted and is very affectionate. She will head-butt your hand and even gently grab your hand with her paws when she wants more rubs! If you sit down somewhere, Kaylee likes to be right there with you. She is a good lap cat and “kneads” when she is happy. She is a conversationalist, and likes to talk with her people but doesn't bug you for food. She is more of a “ground cat” and doesn’t really climb. She loves her scratch post, but doesn’t scratch furniture. She is very responsive and smart, so she is easily verbally corrected if she is doing something you do not want her to do. She doesn't have much interest in toys, and is content to just hang out. Kaylee is ok with other pets but prefers to be the center of attention. She likes friendly dogs and will sometime headbutt their face to encourage them to give her kisses! She is a very petite cat- super cute! The pictures do not so her justice. She will make a great companion pet!

Kaylee would do best as an only cat, or with one other cat in the home. Her adoption fee is $100, and includes shelter fees, vet costs while in our care, spay, FeLV/FIV testing, vaccinations, and deworming. PLEASE CONTACT JACKIE AT 925-667-7701 OR JAKRIVERO@YAHOO.COM IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO GIVE KAYLEE HER FOREVER HOME!

Our Adoption Process...
The first step in the adoption process is to complete an adoption application. You may be asked additional questions, or to expand your answers. If approved, we can then set up a meeting with the pet to decide is he or she is the right fit for your family. You may be asked to allow a home inspection prior to taking home the animal. Adoption fees cover spay or neuter, deworming, transport, shelter fees, vaccinations and veterinary cots up until adoption. The adoption fees for dogs are $275 for puppies, $200 for adults, and $300 for a pair of adults. Adoption fees for cats are $135 for a kitten, $235 for two kittens, $110 for an adult, $220 for a mother kitten pair, and $75 for a senior pet. You will be asked to sign an adoption contract and health disclosure. You will be provided with a copy of the medical and shelter records. Spay and neuter non-negotiable.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kaylee, a San Diego Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
