MADDIE's Story...
Maddie is a happy 5 yr old, white and tan female, and has been horribly neglected by her previous owner, until a very kind veterinary tech took her in. Her new foster-mom-vet-tech is also a dog groomer! She had to shave Maddie completely naked, because she was so matted and dirty, with sores on her skin. Her ear infections, skin infection and hot spots have been treated, and she's well on her way to recovery! Maddie does NOT like kids or cats, and is okay with some dogs. Her foster mom has a parrot, and she's fine with it. Maddie walks well on a leash and loves to snuggle. Maddie's adoption fee is $275.

Our Adoption Process...
Anyone wanting to adopt one of our cocker spaniels, must fill out an application (available on our website at www.acsrwa.org) Applications are reviewed by our staff; applicants that qualify are then asked for what we call a "home visit". One of our volunteers meets with each applicant and their household members at their home for a short interview. Each applicant gets an opportunity to meet with the dog to see if they like each other. Information about each applicant is then reviewed and an applicant is chosen to adopt a dog. A couple of weeks after a dog is adopted, a volunteer with check with the adopter to see how everything is going and if there are any problems, concerns, questions, etc. We are always available to help however we can, after the adoption is made.
