Bentley's Story...
Bentley is one of 4 pups born 4-4-12 and picked up by Animal Control. He's Alaskan Malamute and we're guessing German Shepherd. Mals tend to have same gender aggression so we would not adopt to you if you already have a male. Most likely he will not be able to live with cats or other small pets either. Bentley's siblings have been adopted. He's a typical active puppy who will need someone with time and patience. You can find photos of him on our face book page under Alaskan Malamute Rescue of Delaware. Bentley is fostered in west central Virginia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bentley, a Augusta County Alaskan Malamute puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute for sale in Augusta County, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute puppy from a breeder in Augusta County.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Augusta County already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Augusta County breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Augusta County paves the way for another one to be saved.
