Michael's Story...
EST DOB: 2/1/12
Michael Phelps is a fun boy that is so full of life! He would love to be your new walking and/or running partner. He has trust issues and takes his time getting to know new people but one properly introduced he is so much fun. He has shown significant progress through his obedience training as he has learned the commands sit, down, heel, and come. He is currently learning stay, easy, and is improving his leash manners. He is food (treat) motivated and learns quickly with consistency. An active home with the ability to exercise him often, let him play in the yard, or have other large dogs for him to play with is ideal. Michael could be the perfect companion for you. Let this happy, happy boy light up your life!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Michael, a Flower Mound Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Flower Mound, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Flower Mound.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Flower Mound already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Flower Mound breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Flower Mound paves the way for another one to be saved.
