Jack's Story...
Jack is approximately 3 years old. He is heartworm positive but he is on Ivermectin to control the heart worms. Over time the heart worms will die and he will test negative. This process normally takes 12 months to slowly kill the heart worms. Jack has lots of energy. He is very obedient and he is trained to obey normal commands sit, stay, down, shake. load up, etc. Jack does not chase horses or cows. He likes to play ball and loves to ride on or in anything that moves. His last owner took him on long over the road trips delivering hay to surrounding states. Jack is a great companion dog. He loves kids and gets along well with other dogs. He has been known to play with a cat occasionally.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Conway Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Conway, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Conway.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Conway already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Conway breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Conway paves the way for another one to be saved.
