My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Otis is a super friendly outgoing dog. Otis enjoys meeting new people and is great with all sorts of people and children. He is very smart and is quick to learn basic commands with food motivation. He knows sit, down, and heels on a leash. Otis is not food or toy aggressive with people or other dogs. Otis is totally housebroken and sleeps the whole night without any accidents. Otis is also great about being alone in the house, he doesn't have any accidents, and he also doesn't chew on things while you are away. He LOVES his own chew bones and toys though and will play with squeaky toys forever.

Otis needs daily exercise to keep him happy, he does great on lengthy walks, but even better on Jogs/Biking. He has tons of endurance and would be a great exercise partner. Otis loves car rides, and does great camping. He doesn't love water, but will submit to baths when necessary. Otis likes to chase wild rabbits, but was fine with the pet guinea pig in his foster home when supervised. He is not a very loud dog, and will give a few warning barks if someone comes to the door, but that is all. He is generally very quiet.

Otis is very sensitive to verbal scoldings when he misbehaves, but he is fine with loud noises and thunderstorms. Otis also doesn't like the broom or flyswatter, they scare him a little.

Otis does great with the other dogs in his home, and dogs he can meet off leash, he does fine with all personalities and loves to play. However he will occasionally respond to other on leash dogs with lots of barking and pulling. Otis will need a little more practice greeting on leash dogs, but is otherwise fine.

Otis is an extremely sweet outgoing dog, he would be a great dog for a family with children, or someone who has the time to share daily exercise with him. He is very trustworthy with new people and children and is super affectionate, he loves to be with people.
