Dollar's Story...
COMMUNITY DOG IN NEED OF HOME: Meet Dollar. He is a 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier. He is up to date on shots, crate trained. He does have a disability. He ate and swallowed a leash 2 years ago in November. He had to undergo a $800.00 surgery. They opened his large and small intestines and he now cannot eat hard dog food due to this. He has been diagnosed with Megaesophagus from the leash damage to his throat, where his food has to be cut up and diluted with water he can eat can dog food but it has to be chopped up smaller then it comes in the can. With all this said it will take a patient person that he can rely on for survival. He enjoys running, walks on a leash, he can sit, lay down and loves the kong toys that are bones. Those are the only toys that are recommended with his disability. He really needs a house with a yard. He is crate trained because he was in an apartment. He is confined for too long of a period due to school schedules and work schedules and also the fact we are not able to have him in an apartment it is not fair to him. Please contact Mara at or 530-763-1721 if you are interested in Dollar.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dollar, a Yuba City Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Yuba City, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Yuba City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yuba City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yuba City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yuba City paves the way for another one to be saved.
