Mama Lucia's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Mama Lucia's Story...
Mama Lucia had 6 pups in the front yard of an empty house in an Asian/Hispanic neighborhood in SW Houston, and an unscrupulous person took 5 of her new born pups and left her with just one. Only God knows what happened to the other pups.

She is apporx 1 1/2 yr old and weighs around 30lbs. She is such a good mama, is currently nursing her pup and will be ready for adoption in 3 weeks.

Mama Lucia is house trained and does very well in the crate as well. She gets along with other dogs and has been around cats but sometimes bark at them.

She is coming out of her shell, still being leash trained but she certainly takes care of business when is taking outside. She seems to be very attached to people and is very likely to be gentle with kids. She is submissive with other dogs and people.

Mama Lucia is dewormed, vaccinated and will be spayed and microchipped when she is done with her pup. There is an adoption application to fill out and the adoption fee is $125 and covers all her vet expenses until she goes to her furever home.

Please visit our web site for more details and to fill out an adoption application online.

About AL-ONE DOG RESCUE - TX Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

About AL-ONE Dog Rescue

AL-ONE Dog Rescue is dedicated to the rescue, foster and placement of dogs and cats surviving on the streets of impoverished neighborhoods of the Houston area or living in poor conditions due to neglect and abuse of irresponsible and careless people. AL-ONE Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization comprised of volunteers who foster animals in their homes as an alternative to taking the animal to a shelter. AL-ONE is supported entirely by its dedicated volunteers and spontaneous donations. When an individual rescues a dog or cat, the rescuer may agree to care for the animal’s essential needs—food, cleanliness and shelter. Loving Arms will provide the veterinary care needed to get the animal healthy enough for adoption. All animals are spayed or neutered prior to being placed up for adoption. Dogs and cats available for adoption are promoted through AL-ONE'S website and Thanks for visiting our website. There are many different ways for you to get involved in our organization. We are always in need of loving homes to foster dogs and cats on a short term and long term basis. In addition, you can contribute by calling our vet and making a donation to help with spay and neuter costs. Also, you can drop off cat and dog food at the adoption locations.

Need help with your pet?

If you need help with a dog or cat you found, rescued or want to re-home you need to send a nice bio and pictures via email so we can network your animal with other rescue groups. If the dog/cat is in an unsafe situation consider taking it to a shelter such as citizens for animal protection (CAP), Houston Humane Society or Houston SPCA. If you send us information and pics we will try to get help for the animal. If the animal is injured consider taking it to a vet clinic or a shelter. Houston SPCA also has a free ambulance service 24 hrs. Be aware that no shelter in Houston area guarantees that the animal will be saved and put up for adoption. Please report animal abuse/neglect/cruelty whenever you witness (Speak up for the ones that have not voice!), go online and call Houston SPCA and/or Houston Humane Society.

Adopting a friend

We look for responsible and mindful dog owners willing to commit in the long term and capable of providing affection, appropriate medical care and loyalty until the end for the new family member. All our rescue dogs are in foster homes, we do not have a shelter so we tell you upfront how the dog behaves and if we think will fit in your life style.
