Est. DOB: September 2008

Description: DSH Calico

Gender: Female

Adoption Fee: $50.00 – Member of the Lonely Hearts Club

Lizzie is a very pretty lady and very well behaved Southern Belle. She can be a bit shy, but once you break the ice with her and she warms up, she’ll be your best friend. She’s a very sweet lady and very much wants a forever home of her own with someone who understands that all she needs is a little time and patience and lots of love for her to come out of her shell and blossom. Once she gets to know you, she’ll be a wonderful forever companion for you. Lizzie loves to have her head and ears scratched and her belly rubbed. She gets along very well with other cats.

Lizzie is a friendly cat who was found living in a garbage dump with her two sweet kittens. All three were taken into Alley Cats and Angels’ adoption program.

Fully vetted: treated for fleas, ear mites, and intestinal parasites, tested for FeLV/FIV (negative unless otherwise noted), spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccinations (including FVRCP+FeLV [initial vaccination and booster] and rabies), and microchipped with Home Again microchips with shelter paid registration.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lizzie, a Apex Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Apex, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Apex.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Apex already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Apex breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Apex paves the way for another one to be saved.
