Kerry's Story...
Hi .. My name is Kerry, and I am the most adorable 2 year old male Shorkie (better known as a Shih Tzu/Yorkie) weighing just 12 pounds.

I’m very sweet and playful and love to snuggle, and I really like the other dogs in my new foster home. I want to play all day but they make me take a time-out occasionally. I also share my space with cats, but they’re sort of finicky and never want to wrestle. They just sneer and look at me with boredom….what are you going to do…they’re cats!!

I am neutered and have all my shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kerry, a Long Beach Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
