Hi there, my name is Victoria, and I am just over a year old. I may be a little shy when first meeting you but I am a sweet loving girl. I was found by VOKRA as an abandoned pregnant cat. They took me in, and my fosters have been great. I was scared the first day I came into VOKRA, but my fosters showed me great love and patience. Just over a week after being off the streets, I had delivered three little babies that I took care of with my fosters' loving help until they were grown up enough to move on to another foster home of their own; eventually they were adopted. In a way I am happy the little rascals are gone now, because I can have "me time" and I can alsofocus on getting adopted now by a family that wants me as part of their clan. I am also happy because I finally get the room all to myself, so now I can relax up on the window perch and enjoy the warm rays of the sun. I am still very much a kitten -- I love to play with toys! I do occasionally love to curl up in a lap but I am more the independent type...a few good loving pets are all I need. I hope you will be my forever home!

I am quite comfortable in a home with older children and certainly love being around other cats but can do just fine on my own as well. I would prefer a home with no dogs.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Victoria, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
