Meow! My name is Rachael
|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair||Color:||Black & White Or Tuxedo||Age:||Adult|
I am already spayed.
Shy, sweet and pretty, Rachael has great potential to be an amazing new addition to a lucky home. Like people, sometimes you have to look a little closer to see what a cat has to offer and this kitty girl has tons of affection, love and playfulness hiding just under the surface of her shy exterior. In quieter moments here she can be found playing with the toys, getting some pets from volunteers and enjoying herself like all the rest. If this precious kitty girl can find her way into a quiet, calm home there’s no doubt she will blossom into a truly loving and terrific furry companion. Rachael will probably do well with other cats but is definitely not suited for young, hyper children or a crazy grand central station type of environment. Her pretty black and white tuxedo coat and petite face make for a charming look that’s really only missing a pretty in pink collar. If you’re willing to take a chance on this sweet girl and give her the extra time and effort she will need to open up, we are positive you won’t have any regrets. Call today to meet Rachael, she might take a while to come greet you but it’ll be worth the wait! She is spayed, vaccinated, tested neg. for FeLuk/FIV and micro-chipped. 734 461-9458

FMAR is a non-profit 501(c)3 rescue for dogs and cats that started in April 2003 with the help and support of hundreds of wonderful people. Our mission is to protect animals and residents by promoting a healthy and safe enviornment for all. FMAR felt we needed to start in our own community helping our Animal Control facility find homes for the strays they pick up or are brought to them. On a rare occassion when we have extra space we do our best to help out neighboring communities too. We started in the family room of our home, adding kennels under and on the pool table and moving to the dining and livingroom. We grew by leaps and bounds, so we sold our home, bought a 61/2 acre farm and renovated the smaller of the 2 barns with 9 dog kennels and 5 unique cat kennels. Our first renovation allowed us to house a larger number of cats and dogs, but the need grew faster than our space would allow. We are amazed and saddened every day by the abundance of homeless pets and hoped to raise enough money to renovate our larger barn, but the need became so great we knew we had to find something smaller that we could better afford to renovate. We added on again but the space was still not enough. We found someone to donate another barn and had this barn moved to our property and renovated it as our new "Cat Haven".
Please visit our website at www.fmar1.org for more details on our growth and progress. We promise the best is yet to come!!

FMAR is an no-kill 501 C 3 tax-exempt all breed rescue, and like you, we are concerned about the welfare of the animals and the families that adopt them. We will require paperwork to be filled out and a consultation before an animal is adopted. Interaction with any other animals in your care is also required. We reserve the right to deny any adoption that we feel is not safe or comfortable for either the animal or potential adopter.
Our adoption costs vary, and include first set of vaccinations and spay/neuter. Cats and kittens start at $75 and dogs and puppies range from $100 - $175 depending on age, size and breed. We also offer micro chips at a very reasonable rate. For more information please send us an email at:
FMAR serves Belleville, Sumpter Township, Ypsilanti and surrounding areas.
