Hi, my name is
Ghost - Updated!
Adopt me from
West Warwick, Rhode Island
- Good with Kids
already neutered, in need of an experienced adopter, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats
My StoryGhost is the quinessential Pit Bull - a big ol' heart with four legs and a tail! Loves all people and has an unbreakably good nature. Truly stunning, no one fails to come over during his walks, for he does snap the head with his white color, impressive frame and beautiful head. Truly a masterpiece! He was someone's loved pet but sadly got separated from his owner and ended up in a high kill TN shelter, where they pleaded his case to us, for they were in love with this very charming dog. For a Pit Bull, he is amazingly good on lead, knows basic commands, and dare we say it,is a bit of a gentleman. He loves car rides, acts great for the groomer and loves to hang out at home, although he can be bumptious, as all Pit Bulls can be, lol! He MUST be an only pet. Other dogs do not seem to like Ghost, he seems inexperienced and we do not deem him trustworthy. He also is prey driven towards cats. This is a people's dog who has never met a stranger, on the other hand, with the most rewardingly loving of personalities, and is an absolute joy to hang out with. Five years old now, he has been in our rescue far too long and yearns for a home to call his very own. He is our accidental mascot, and a very charming dog we all adore. Applications are available on the southpawsexpress.org website or via contacting Lucy at firstname.lastname@example.org. ALWAYSADOPTERS please note that Ghost will not be attending the AlwaysAdopt event on June 4. If you are interested to meet him, you must contact us directly.
Adopt Me From...
Adoption ProcessSouthpaws Express is a progressive rescue that prides itself on an intimate, individualized application process. We strive to make it as friendly and personalized as we can, and assist with good matching advice and direction, catered to the individual....the individual dog and adopter. Our application is available on the southpawsexpress.org site, and introductory emails always are welcomed to Lucy at email@example.com. Our standard adoption fee is $400 ($450 for puppies), which helps defray the weighty cost of transporting our foster dogs up north from their high kill southern environments and providing an excellence of vet care, but some dogs will be discounted, due to age or exceptional needs.
About the Rescue Group
We are, and prefer to remain, small, pulling only a few dogs at a time and offering individualized attention to our prospective adopters. A commonality we share is that we are both "big picture" people, a core belief being that every dog we take in, and every adoption we complete, should move rescue forward. We believe in great ambassador dogs for rescue, happy adopters, and an adoption process that is both experienced and caring. We are not rigid or inflexible, and it is always our goal to build advocacy for rescue. We want you to have a good time!
Be it through adoption, volunteerism or education, we welcome you to our family!
