Luke's Story...
Luke may be missing a front leg, but somebody forgot to tell him that! Luke's status as tripod kitty hasn't slowed this energetic guy down one bit! Luke loves to play and has no trouble jumping from one level of his kitty condos to another and then back down again to the floor as he gives chase to whatever toy has caught his attention. Luke loves to play with wand toys, loves to bat around toy mice, and loves to chase balls. He's so cute...after Luke chases his ball across the room, he'll come hopping back over to you first for some petting, and then next with the expectation that you throw another ball for him so you can start the whole process all over again!

Luke loves people and is quite the snuggler! He loves to be held, nuzzling his head against yours as he purrs sweet nothings into your ear. Not only does Luke like to be held, he's also happy in your lap or even snuggled right up against your leg. In any and all of these circumstances, Luke is happy to accept lots of petting, head rubs, and chin scratches! Luke will express his gratitude for your affection with deafening purrs of happiness, meows that sound more like chirps, and an occasional paw placed on your arm in a gesture of thanks.

Some other fun facts about Luke: he likes to assist with office work by playing with your pen as you write, he rolls around drooling unashamedly when he comes into contact with catnip, and he really likes the company of other friendly kitties!

Luke has a passion for life and is anxious to find his forever family so he can share his passion for living life to the fullest with them. Don't make Luke wait a minute longer, fill out an application for this loving and playful little guy today - www.azrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Luke, a Phoenix Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
