Hi! Thanks for giving me some attention! I'd like you to know that I've already been spayed or neutered. At Animal Friends, dogs and cats also leave fully up-to-date on shots and microchipped. All I need now is to find someone who will love me. Please ask to meet with an adoption counselor, so we can be properly introduced and talk about what kind of pet you're looking for. We can discuss whether you're looking for a lap pet or a social butterfly, an 'only pet' or a furry 'sibling' for kids or other animals. Best of all, by adopting from Animal Friends, you make it possible for them to rescue and care for another pet who truly needs help. So, what are you waiting for? Let's sit down together! *****************************************************

Colbee, a young, energetic, American Pit Bull Terrier, is looking for a very special family. Colbee needs a family that is willing to put time into his care and training to help Colbee be the best dog he can be.

Colbee never received any kindness before coming to Animal Friends. As a result, Colbee is in a foster home learning how to be loved. Positive reinforcement training has helped Colbee learn household manners and he does work well for treats and attention. While he doesnÂ’t have all his basic commands down pat, he is learning them rapidly and would love to demonstrate his sit command snuggled next to you (kisses come without command). Although he loves to be petted and caressed, if you are busy he is just as happy chewing on a good Nylabone.

Colbee has never learned to play with other dogs. His foster family is working on his dog skills but he really should be the only pet in the household and would benefit from additional training classes with controlled exposure to other dogs. He is crate trained and housebroken and because he has been living in a foster home, his foster family can tell you more about his fun-loving personality.

Colbee will need some extra love and attention no matter where he goes in life but we are sure that he is worth the effort and will make a wonderful companion for someone special!
