Bugsy loves to bounce's Story...
These pics do not do handsome Bugsy justice. He is a gorgeous shiny-coated mini-black-lab-looking mix. We are thinking that he is a pittie/lab mix, what a great combination! Two fantastic breeds in one. Bugs is about 18 mos. old and is likely close to fully grown at only 50 lbs. He isn't very tall, has a compact, solid, athletic build.

Bugsy is currently attending weekly obedience classes and is doing great. He loves his treats so will do just about anything for them. He is SO GOOD at being attentive and he already knows his sits and we are practicing his downs. He really seems to enjoy it.

This fun, happy young fellow was originally brought to an emergency vet with lacerations that were probably the product of a hit and run. A very nice vet fixed him up; including giving him a heart worm test (negative), a microchip, vaccinations, and having him neutered.

Then Bugsy was adopted out to a nice young man who loved him and took great care of him. Unfortunately, the young man's roommate was not as careful and let him get out. That is when his person, and his person's landlord, found out that Bugs LOVES to chase chickens. So the landlord said that he had to go. He will definitely need a home that doesn't have fowl of any kind; they're just too fascinating for him to resist.

Bugsy is super playful and gets along great with doggy friends. Like the lab mix that he is, he LOVES the water and LOVES to swim!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bugsy loves to bounce, a Sacramento Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/American Staffordshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
