My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

location: Moore, OK
Captain Jack Paris was a Texas stray with a serious glaucoma problem, which caused him to lose an eye. This has not kept him down! He is a fun-loving dog wanting a home where someone will love and care for him. Captain Jack's age is estimated at 3 years. He is crate trained, potty trained, does not chew on things, rides well in a car, and sleeps in his own bed. Captain Jack is living with two older foster dogs and is warming up to them. He follows Mable in the house and yard. If Mable takes off running, then Captain Jack does the same. If she lies in the sun, then so does he. Captain Jack and his other foster sister (Sugar Poo) love to run through the house. Sugar will take a toy and Captain Jack will chase her all over. He loves to be outside. Most of the time his fostermom has to go pick him up and bring him in - but he is learning that he gets a treat when he listens. At meal time Captain Jack barks until his food is placed before him; he can be very demanding; we are working on that. We are also working on sitting for a treat, and he is doing well with that. Captain Jack has two favorite places to be. One is the laundry room (not sure if he likes the rug in there or thinks that is where he needs to be... or he could be hiding from the other dogs). His other favorite place is the dining chair, because he can lay there and see everything that's going on. At bedtime Captain Jack goes straight to his crate without being told. His fostermom leaves the door open, and he stays in there all night long, curled up. Captain Jack is very playful, and loves to play tug-of-war - and he almost always wins. He is tiny but ferocious! Captain Jack love to cuddle and to have his belly rubbed, and will reward you with lots of kisses. When you walk in a room he stands up and does a little dance to be picked up. He is a charmer! Captain Jack is a wonderful little dog looking for his forever home. To see more photos of Captain Jack please click here.
