Facts about Killian

  • Breed: Australian Cattle Dog
  • Color: Gray/Blue/Silver/Salt & Pepper
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Male
Killian is about 3 yrs old. I am what they call a handful. I was not taught puppy manners, so now I have a few training issues which do not make me a fit for most homes.

I need a dog savvy owner who understands herding breeds. I like to jump and grab so children are not in my future. I WANT to please so with some structure and training, I will be a great dog for the right home.

I would love hiking and walks. I enjoy snuggle time too. While I'm waiting for my forever home, a foster home is needed for me or my other rescued friends.

I seem to get along with other respectful dogs, but I do have food issues, so I would need to be separated at feeding time.

About Adopt A Rescue Pet

About Our Rescue Group...

Adopt A Rescue Pet has grown to be one of Nevada's largest animal rescue groups providing a safe haven for dogs suffering from abuse, neglect or homelessness. In most of these cases, death would have resulted if the animal had entered a municipally funded shelter. Adopt A Rescue Pet receives no local or federal funding, it relies solely on the generosity of its contributors and tax deductible donations received from the public. We always need volunteers!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Adoptions are ONLY held on the weekends at a specific store location listed in the dog's story.

6980 NORTH 5th @ I-215 (NLV) NEW LOCATION

Please read all information regarding the dog in question before calling. Please contact the person responsible for that specific dog listed in that dog's story.

Your phone call will be returned within 48 hours.

Our Adoption Process...

Please read the FULL story of each dog. It will tell you who to contact and which location that dog is being adopted from each weekend. You MUST have a collar that fits the dog & leash before you will be allowed to take a dog home with you. All puppies should have a brand new collar & leash for health reasons.

Each animal has an adoption fee. The fees pay the dog's vet bills. We require everyone to fill out a 4 page questionnaire/requirements to help us determine if this is the best fit for the dog and its potential human family. If you rent, please bring your rental agreement stating that you are allowed to have a dog and what the requirements and restrictions are for your home, apartment or condo property.

Adopt A Rescue Pet is return solely by volunteers. We will run your call or email as quickly as possible.

Please read the dog's information and contact the person listed as the contact for that specific dog. Not all of our dogs have the same contact information and some breeds require pre-approval.
