Sophie's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Sophie's Story...
Sophie is approximately 2 years old, not sure. Has had a litter of puppies, sometime in the recent past. Is now spayed, so no more pregnancy issues. She uses the doggie door regularly and doesnt attempt to jump my wall. She will signal with her behavior if she needs to go outside for a bathroom break. She takes treats like a lady; very gently and doesnt gobble. Sophie is SUPER people friendly, in fact we think she does prefer men! She likes other dogs, be they big or small. Met a huge Mastiff at the vets office on Saturday, didnt even flinch. Went right over to say hello! Would prefer canine companions to be at least her size or larger. She is so strong, she may overpower a smaller dog when playing. Not sure about cats. She is VERY interested and if they ran she might chase them. Sophie doesnt bark. Have had her for over a month and havent heard her bark once, even with the rest of my dogs are barking. She walks well on leash, but will lean forward if she wants to go in another direction. I have a harness for her because she is strong, and also so that I am not directing her through a neck collar. She has gotten very good about riding in my truck/car. Will jump right in now and sit down. Still working on waiting until I get out first before jumping out. Contact foster mom, Trish Hackney (505) 917-5310 or via email at matilda1227@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Rio Rancho Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bull Terrier for sale in Rio Rancho, or seeking a Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Rio Rancho.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rio Rancho already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rio Rancho breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bull Terrier breeders who help with Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rio Rancho paves the way for another one to be saved.
