Jetson's Story...
Jetson has been through a lot -- his shelter record indicates that someone put rubber bands on his back leg on purpose, and which had to be surgically removed. But he is no worse for the wear: this little kitty is full of energy and life and loves to play and sleep on your bed. There is nothing he appreciates more than a good meal -- it's truly a joyous occasion. While Jetson would certainly be ok as a single cat, ideally he might be best with another high-energy male cat. His foster suspects he will chill out over time -- in fact, he already has.
Jetson was born around 1/13/12.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jetson, a New York Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
