Johnny's Story...
Hi, my name is Johnny. I was abandoned along a highway and left to fend for myself. There were too many dogs and coyotes running loose and I had a close call with one. I am all better now. I am looking for a forever home inside only where I would love to be your best friend. I am a laid back guy who will let you rub my tummy while we watch TV or read. I do love to play with a ball or string.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We were a group of volunteers who worked for various nonprofit organizations. We decided to form our own nonprofit corporation in 2008 and incorporated in March of 2008. We are 3 full time volunteers with varying numbers of part time volunteers. We mainly rescue feral cats and kittens but also will take cats and kittens from the shelter when they are to be euthanized. We trap, neuter and return the ferals to a safe place . We socialize the kittens in our foster homes, sterilize them and put them up for adoption. We are the only organization that traps feral cats in the eastern part of Ventura County. We do it for the love of cats and all animals.

Our Adoption Process...
We have the adopter fill out a application questionnaire with their general information. If the adopter is a renter we require permission from the landlord before approval for adoption. Adoption is also contingent upon home approval by one of our foster mothers. If all is satisfactory then we mutually choose a pet for for adoption ie a cat that is good for the surroundings they have outlined in their application. Upon delivery of the pet by one of our foster mothers the adopter signs an Adoption Contract and pays an adoption fee of $95.00. We contact the adopters by telephone for follow up on the adoption about 1 week and 2 weeks after the adoption.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We are located in the eastern part of Ventura County, CA. We serve the communities in this area including Thousand Oaks, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Fillmore, Santa Paula and Westlake Village.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Johnny, a Thousand Oaks Maine Coon cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Thousand Oaks, or seeking a Maine Coon cat from a breeder in Thousand Oaks.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Thousand Oaks already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Thousand Oaks breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Thousand Oaks paves the way for another one to be saved.
