Cookie's Story...
Cookie is a very sweet girl. Her owner abandoned her and she ended up at the shelter. She is estimated to be around 6 years old, but looks a little older due to her missing teeth and previous jaw fracture. She has a jaw fracture from her previous life that has healed. She eats just fine, but may need to eat soft food. She had to have a few of her teeth removed as well. She is on eye medication for a scar on her right eye. She is a super sweet little girl and loves attention and to be right by your side. She is a love. For more info on adoption, please contact me asap. She is being fostered in upstate SC. Adoption fee covers her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test (negative), dewormer, flea prevention for the month, microchip and transport. please e-mail for details if you are interested.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cookie, a Charleston Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Charleston, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Charleston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charleston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charleston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charleston paves the way for another one to be saved.
