Facts about Olivier

  • Breed: Boston Terrier Mix
  • Color: Black - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Male
Olivier, born 6/29/2009, is a Terrier mix who, if given the chance, will be a terrific bonding dog. He is active and happy, with interests ranging from fetch to a good old-fashioned afternoon nap at your feet. He is the kind of dog who requires a little bit of work in order to get him to trust you, but once that trust has been established you two are looking at a lifelong bond. With Olivier, you will get out what you put in.

He also loves to play with kittens, and could be at home in an apartment or large home with a backyard. But you can see he gets a little jealous, so best for him to be the only dog in the house.

We really appreciate your wanting to give a shelter animal a home. The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904. The Vladimir Horowitz/Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center is a no-kill shelter. Our on-site clinic and staff of skilled Veterinarians looks after the health and well-being of every animal here. We offer FREE Vet care for the first 3 weeks after adoption. We also have a great adoption matchmaker who will gladly take your profile and match you or your pet with just the right cat or dog companion. Please feel free to submit your application!

Won't you please sponsor this pet? Click the button above. You can give as much or as little as you like. Your donation is tax deductible. Thank you and our furry ones thank you. Each and every animal here is very special to us. We are dedicated to finding each one just the right home. So for some cats and dogs, that means a much longer stay - as sometimes they are not as outgoing, pretty or have as perfect manners as they could. And because we don't "dispose" of them for this, our cost for keeping them healthy and becoming better companions is high.

Our Adoption Process...

The Humane Society of New York does not do "same-day" adoptions. While meeting and interviewing with our adoption director, we will begin the process to see if we have the right pet to match your lifestyle, preferences and personality.
