Marcus's Story...
Hi, my name's Marcus! I'm a 10 year old German Shepherd/Beagle mix. I was found as a stray and some nice people brought me into the shelter. Since I was a stray they don't know much about me. I'm good around kids and dogs, we're not sure how I am around cats yet. I'm up to date on my shots, I have a microchip, and I'm also neutered. Now all I need is someone to give me a home and love me! Do you think you have room in your house and heart for a guy like me? The shelter is open on Tuesday's and Thursday's from 1-8 and Wednesday's and Friday's from 1-5, come visit me!

You can see some of our adoptable pets almost every Saturday at the Petsmart in Greensburg from noon to 6pm and some Sundays too. All adoption fees include spay/neuter and up-to-date vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marcus, a Youngwood German Shepherd Dog/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Beagle for sale in Youngwood, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Beagle dog from a breeder in Youngwood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Youngwood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Youngwood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Beagle breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Youngwood paves the way for another one to be saved.
