Max's Story...
Max is approx 5 years old and believed to be a Poodle/Bichon mix. He was found tied to a park bench in Laguna Beach very emaciated and matted. We have since neutered Max, gotten his dental work done and are working on fattening him up. According to our vet, Max is about 1/2 his body weight. He should be 25-30lbs. Max is in a foster home with other dogs and a cat. He is very sweet with people. Max is described by his foster mom as being very smart, caught on to house training very easily and loves the dog park.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Lake Forest Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise for sale in Lake Forest, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Lake Forest.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lake Forest already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lake Forest breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lake Forest paves the way for another one to be saved.
