Meet Ms. Amanda, a beautiful 18-24 month old Flat Coat Retriever-mix. Amanda was a feral dog found after giving birth to a litter of puppies alongside a parking lot in downtown Kansas City.  Luckily for her and her pups, a kind soul found them and called T.A.R.A. It took several days to catch Amanda, as she was terrified and had never known the loving touch of humans, but ever since, she has been given shelter, good food and lots of love and attention. She’s come a long way in trusting people and has always been the sweetest little girl, even when she is a little scared. She is a golden-eyed angel.

Given her past, Amanda is still quite timid around people and needs a quiet, loving home where she can learn just how wonderful life with people can be. Once you earn her trust, her sweet disposition will unfold and you will have a forever friend and family member. Just look into those sweet, soulful eyes! Won’t you bring Amanda into your heart and home?

Adoption Fee: $150.00

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and prevention (if age appropriate), flea prevention and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
