Bernie's Story...
Bernie is a Take Me Home courtesy post. Bernie is not affiliated with Take Me Home. He is not under our care. Take Me Home is not responsible for any adoptions through private parties. For more information on Bernie, please contact Silvia at silsalles@yahoo.com.

Little Bernie is a 4 year old gem! He is a tiny, ten pound Corgi-Terrier mix and so full of love. Bernie prefers the ladies over the men. He gets a little scared around men, but does warm up eventually. He loves being indoors and snuggling under the covers. He does well with mellow dogs and likes cats too. Bernie is excited to find a family who will be patient with his shyness and shower him with the love and guidance he needs and deserves.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bernie, a Santa Monica Corgi/Welsh Corgi dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Corgi/Welsh Corgi for sale in Santa Monica, or seeking a Corgi/Welsh Corgi dog from a breeder in Santa Monica.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Monica already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Monica breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Corgi/Welsh Corgi breeders who help with Corgi/Welsh Corgi rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Monica paves the way for another one to be saved.
