Ethel's Story...
I’m an adorable flower, pretty like a lilly…young and fun and cute and silly…I love toys, and tug of war…I’m loads of fun and never a bore…my heart is big and I’m pretty smart too…I’d make one kick a** companion for you and for you! I’m crate trained and big brained and love a good walk…I’d tell you “I LOVE YOU” if I could only talk… I like other dogs both girls and dudes, and I bet you get me to anything for food …There’s lots of new things that I’d like to learn…and…well…I’ll spare you any more of this rhyming…I bet you find it kind of annoying! So here’s the deal, I’m a great gal. I want a lot of training and structure and a nice warm bed to snuggle in. I just can't wait for my great new life to begin….Oh, and did I mention I need a forever family? That’s where you come in!!! 6 months old-39lbs.-English Pointer/Boxer/Australian Cattle Dog Mix. My adoption fee is $240 and includes; spay, microchip, reduced cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ethel, a Portland Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pointer dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer breeders who help with Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
