Emily's Story...
Hello everyone my name is Emily. I am a Pit bull/lab mix. I am a very friendly pup who gets along with children, other dogs and even cats. Don’t tell anyone but I have even been known to hang out with the goats and chickens and I don’t even bother them. I am current on all my shots and I am scheduled to be spayed. My birthday is estimated to be 11/29/2011. Please consider me as part of your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emily, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
