Marvin was once a beloved pet but his owner developed Alzheimers and when he had to go to a nursing home, his owner’s children left him behind. A neighbor took pity on him and started feeding him while looking for a rescue group to take him in. Initially he was shy but in time, he has come around. He frequently comes up to his foster mom as he has discovered he loves to be skritched behind the ears. He’s not a big talker but he does talk to his foster mom when she stops the skritching. He will sit and stare at “Mom” at other times when she doesn’t stop and pet him. He is very well mannered. Even though he is short hair, Marvin absolutely LOVES being brushed.
When Marvin was living on his own, he was so scared, he had to be trapped. At first, his foster mom thought he had mange, but it was just his unique coloration. He is a black and white smoke with the smoke being more obvious is some places than in others.
Marvin lives with other kitties, as well as, dogs. He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, is current on shots, and tested negative for FIV and Feline Leukemia.
