The Gang of 5 Geese's Story...
We have the "goose gang of 5" - 1 saddleback goose who is black and white with 4 embden geese, all white. These 5 have been together for many years and want to stay together as a group. They are very friendly and will provide hours of enjoyment as they play in the water and eat from your hand. The need a water source (pond), regular meals, and some protection from predators at night - either housing or an island on your pond to keep them safe. Winter housing is advised as is housing for other types of bad weather.

Please fill out an adoption application on our website www.cwrescue.org - click on adoptions. There you will find information about our adoption process and a link to our online adoption form.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

The Gang of 5 Geese, a Indian Trail Goose was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Goose for sale in Indian Trail, or seeking a Goose from a breeder in Indian Trail.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indian Trail already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indian Trail breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Goose breeders who help with Goose rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indian Trail paves the way for another one to be saved.
