Pal's Story...
Pal is a quiet, sweet, and snugly nine-year-old, eight-pound, fawn and white male Chihuahua-mix with huge bat-like ears looking for a loving guardian. Pal sits on command, loves to cuddle with people and enjoys the company of other dogs. He was rescued from Chicago Animal Care and Control by Famous Fido’s and spends his days at the grooming salon at 5430 N. Clark Street in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood. Pal is now neutered, de-wormed, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested, and up-to-date on vaccines. He does have a heart murmur. To meet and possibly adopt Pal, please contact Gloria at 773-907-0305 or or Martha at or 773-690-2881. His adoption fee of $175 benefits the rescued pets of Famous Fido’s.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pal, a Chicago Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
